The location was magnificent, not far from the old city center, monuments and university area which was fine until the last night when suddenly a group of hard drug users appeared.

The rooms here are super clean and even have an extra bed, which is handy. 🛏️ Its location is awesome - you've got tons of cool bars, restaurants, and shops right around the corner, and you're close to the University too. Great spot!

The rooms were silent and spotless. the hotel had a very central setting. - I greatly enjoyed the very good hair dryer in the room. - the wooden floors and two-story bed were a nice touch. - I tried some drinks at a nearby bar and pub, Birroteca Lupulus, just a 10-minute walk away.

The central location and the availability of parking.
Some (night) staff had little understanding of English and showed no interest in assisting with simple requests eg asking for an iron to smarten our attire for a business meeting.

The water took a long time to get warm in the shower, but it eventually did and was fine afterwards.

Our room had a modern twin/double layout with a loft decor, and there was even a bidet included.

Very convenient to city center. Relatively clean and quiet. They actually had an internet staying which was free (increasingly rare).
Breakfast was paltry: a roll and a cup of coffee. The phone in the room was not touch tone (quite a few in Italy aren't) so you can't make toll free calls from there and pay phones are noisy, expensive and increasingly less numerous. The older guys staffing the desk were a little grumpy and rule oriented -- they didn't want me to sit in the breakfast area to plan my day while waiting for the breakfast hour to arrive, which was a little late (8 A.M.).

It was a quite big room with a TV and it was clean. To the city centre it was just a 10 min walk.
It stank in the street in front of the hostel and in the evening there where some weird people.

Guido and his wife are the nice older Italian couple who run the hotel. They made my husband and I feel very welcome. At first we were disappointed with the price we paid for the room for what we got - generally I would have expected to pay a lot less for the room we had. However, the location of the hotel is what you are paying for, and the location couldn't be better. It's right off the Via Zamboni, one of the main roads leading to the two towers (about a 5 min walk from the hotel depending on how much window shopping you do on the way), and if you can handle the surrounding area being inundated with university students then you shouldn't have any problems.
The hotel did not have any internet access - although there were several internet cafes and bars with wifi nearby. The included breakfast is one brioche and packaged toast with jam, but the cappucino they serve is pretty good. Just plan to go out for 'second breakfast' if you're a good eater. Although there were a few drawbacks, the location of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff and owners more than compensate.
